The annual Vancouver Chinatown Festival,organized by the Vancouver Chinatown BIA Society (VCBIA), is a free 2-daycommunity family event.

Last year, the event was an overwhelmingsuccess hosting tens of thousands of visitors to our vibrant Chinatowncommunity. We celebrated the diversity of the community and showcased Chinatownas an inclusive, sustainable, and resilient neighbourhood. Vancouver ChinatownFestival has grown into a highly anticipated summer signature event forVancouverites as well as tourists from around the world.

The Vancouver Chinatown Festival is afree 2-day event that includes:

Live on-stage performances - ethnicitycultural dances, music orchestra, Science World stage show, Taiko drumming, Tapdancing, Regiment marching band, musicalperformances, plus more.

“New” Children Theatre featuring - liondance demonstrations and performances, Princess sing-along, Marvel heroes meetand greet, magic shows, plus more.

Kids Corner - lion dance interactive workshop, carnival games, face painting,balloon twisting, T-shirt painting, plus more.

Cultural Diversity Corner - A Wok Around Chinatown by Bob Sung, MahJong - awidely played traditional Chinese game, lantern making with Laisee packets,Chinese fan making, Chinese painting and calligraphy, Asian body massages, TraditionalImperial Wedding Sedan photo opportunity, plus more.

Chinatown Guided Tours - takes visitorsthrough this historic neighbourhood to shop for unique, specialty offeringsfrom our local merchants and many more attractions.

Extras - Translink Community Bus, Specialmeet and greet with our very own mascot VanVan,
an artisan’s market featuring special gifts and crafts from different cultures,Food trucks featuring various cuisine from regions in the world, Social mediaactivities (Where’s VanVan to interact with visitors), plus more!

Every year, we bring new ideas andactivities to make our event unique, interesting, and a fun-filled experiencefor families, visitors, and include the diversity of our community. Don’t missit!
